Hope you enjoy it! For the complete version, you have until May 5, 2025 to back on Kickstarter. Don’t lose the chance to get this limited-edition map based on my novella Cry of Absinthe!
The moment has finally come for my new projects to set sail! As I announced in my previous post, my new science-fantasy novella Cry of Absinthe is now on Kickstarter. While its official publication will follow in June, you now get the chance to have the novella and the limited-edition playable map of its world.
What I mean by that, you ask? Well, first of all, let me give you the link with all the details:
There you’ll find more clues about what this novella is about. But we’ve waited so long, why not get a bite in the meantime? Cry of Absinthe explores the complexity of emotional abuse through a science fantasy lens.
There’s a woman with no name, whose body is made of blurred pictures. Yes, like those of old instant cameras. She has no memory of who she is or where she’s ended up, but she’ll try to figure it out in a city where everything feels off, with a monumental building shaped as a honeycomb and referred by the guards as the Archive.
Others like her remembers nothing of what happened, but there’s also who knows very well what’s going on there. Am I right, Jokori Wexar?
Jokori would do anything for the mysterious figure of Boqiyasha, even go against his chief’s orders. Only he doesn’t realize the dangers his actions will put everyone in…
If you’re up to this adventure, go to the link above and have a look by yourself. You can also read an excerpt here.
Before you go, don’t forget the map! Everyone loves fantasy map, but what about exploring one first hand? On kickstarter, you’ll get the exclusive chance to get a retro rpg style map to wander through the streets of Cry of Absinthe. NPCs are waiting for you to talk to them, they feel so lonely round there, ready to give up their secrets to anyone with an ear to listen…
As always, stay tuned for more updates! Apart from my future novellas, there’s a dystopian science fantasy book I’ve been working on, and I’ve got tons of more ideas for the future. Among the latest, a new book is in its starting phase. A book that explores the darkest corners of the mind… there, where no light dares to lay its hopeful rays, you may encounter some old friends and enemies of ours, some creatures that can only live in the dark…
